Hi and welcome to Open Sky Video. 

Open Sky Video is a place to get comfortable and confident planning and creating your own video & multi-media projects.

It’s also a place to talk about what the best video strategy is for you and how to make it happen.

You’ll get tips and ideas on shooting, lighting, editing, camcorders, as well as on-going support while you learn the technical side of things.

Professionally, I’ve been working as a Producer and Post-Production Supervisor for over a decade on films and broadcast television shows for Discovery, CBS, A&E, MTV and more.  I received two Daytime Emmy Awards for my work on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”.

It is my goal to help give you the tools and motivation you need to create your own remarkable video projects, or to brainstorm ideas with you and make sure you get the best video product your business needs.

I am also available to produce, shoot and edit your video, slide presentation or multi-media project.  It is important to me to help you get your best stuff out in the world.

A little more about me, “behind the scenes” version…

I love to spend time upstate, at the beach or bike around Prospect Park right here in Brooklyn.  Time in nature is totally replenishing.   My niece and nephew keep me laughing.  I absolutely love hanging out with the little people.  Buddhism and meditation keep me grounded and yoga and pilates keep me strong.  Coffee and chocolate are good too.

I’ve always loved art and film, and am endlessly inspired by the work of documentarian Albert Maysles and photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson.

One of my favorite quotes from Albert Maysles is:

“Compassion and openness are the only true things that will allow you to find the fullness in that which is before you”.

Referring to video-making he says its not about shots, its about discovering what happens in life through the lens.

I aspire to approach my clients and our creative work with this sense of compassion, openness and awareness.
